Learning to draw from Grandaddy Arthur

My grandfather, Arthur Cushman, was a well-known technical illustrator who worked for the USDA and yhe Smithsonian Institution, among others. His specialty was capturing precise anatomical features as well as the insect's overall "look" or presence. Many of my drawings are faithful, stroke-for-stroke recreations of his work. This is considerably more challenging than drawing from a life model.
